UPDATED: A Renault Clio has come to rest on its side in the middle of the road following a collision involving at least two other vehicles in Ryde tonight (Sunday).
Paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are treating the female occupants of the small black hatchback, which has rolled onto its side on Argyll Street near to the junction with West Street.
A Toyota Yaris has also been involved in the incident, colliding into the rear of a parked Citroen Xsara Picasso.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly before 21:00. No one is trapped and no serious injuries have been sustained.
The road has been closed in both directions whilst investigations get underway and recovery of the vehicles involved is arranged.
Unconfirmed reports suggest a fourth vehicle, a BMW, may have also been involved in the collision.
UPDATE @ 22:15 – Argyll Street has reopened in both directions following the recovery of the vehicles.
