An unoccupied car has come to rest in the front garden of a house in Gurnard this afternoon (Monday).
The Ford Mondeo estate is said to have rolled down Solent View Road before mounting a patch of grass and smashing through a stone wall at the junction of Lower Church Road.
Thankfully, no body has been injured in the accident.
This afternoon’s incident is the third of its kind on the Island in the past few days. Island Echo understands vehicles in both East Cowes and Shanklin rolled from their parked positions into a live carriageway, but luckily avoided causing any damage.
