Emergency services were called to an overturned car on Cowleaze Hill between Shanklin and Ventnor earlier this evening (Friday).
Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene at 18:45 after a red VW Lupo came to rest on its roof.
One fire appliance from Shanklin was also mobilised to the incident for scene safety – no persons were trapped.
The two young male occupants have escaped any injury.
Although the scene has been cleared, motorists are facing continuing diversions tonight due to the closure of Shanklin Old Village for emergency electricity works. With resurfacing works at Wroxall, the only current way in and out of Ventnor is via Whitwell.
