UPDATED: A 4×4 vehicle has rolled onto its roof resulting in the closure of the main road into Chale this evening (Thursday).
Police and paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are on scene at Appleford Road, but no one is thought to be seriously injured.
The single vehicle incident, which has involved a Land Rover Defender, occurred at around 19:15.
The road is currently closed in both directions between Leechmore Cross and Town Lane. Motorists are advised avoid the area.
Recovery of the vehicle has been arranged with DH Price.
UPDATE – The 2 occupants of the vehicle have been checked over by paramedics, but have not been conveyed to hospital.
The vehicle has been recovered and the road has reopened.
