Police are investigating the circumstances of a crash which led to a vehicle coming to rest on its side in the West Wight earlier this morning (Monday).
As a new week gets underway, emergency services have already responded to a road traffic collision – this morning’s occurring on Princes Road at just before 06:00.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary say that just 1 vehicle was involved in the smash, which has led to debris being spread across the carriageway.
The car came to a stop on its side but the driver is understood to have been able to exit the vehicle without the need for extrication.
Recovery of the vehicle is underway and the road is expected to reopen shortly.
I so want to see safe roads for everyone on the island.
Speeding measures need to be put in place.
The installation of speed humps will help.
Perowne Way is much better since speed humps were
installed a number of years ago.
