Firefighters tackled a car fire in Brighstone earlier this afternoon (Saturday).
1 appliance from Newport was mobilised to Wilberforce Road at around 12:25 when a fire broke out in the engine bay of a Peugeot 307.
Flames ripped through the front end of the vehicle ahead of the arrival of firefighters, who used breathing apparatus and a hose reel to bring the blaze under control.
Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident.
