UPDATED: A car has veered off the carriageway and come to rest upside down in a field near Freshwater this morning (Friday).
Police and ambulance crews are currently attending the incident on Newport Road (Middle Road) having been called to the scene at shortly before 08:50.
No one is thought to be trapped or seriously injured despite the white car ending up on its roof.
The main Newport to Freshwater road remains open under Police direction.
UPDATE: It has been confirmed that a white Citroen C1 has rolled and come to rest in a field following a collision with a Vauxhall Astra.
1 person has been taken to St Mary’s Hospital with minor injuries.
