UPDATED: Police have this afternoon (Saturday) attended a road traffic collision in Sandown that has resulted in the partial collapse of a garden wall.
A red Citroen Xsara Picasso struck the boundary wall of a property on Station Avenue, at the junction with St Johns Road, shortly before 13:35.
Island Echo understand that another vehicle was involved in the incident. Witness reports have indicated the unknown second vehicle made off from the scene before the arrival of Police officers.
It is understood there have been no injuries. The vehicle has been recovered from the scene.
UPDATED MONDAY: Police have today confirmed that a 36-year-old man has been arrested and bailed until the New Year in relation to the incident on Saturday.
The unknown man was driving a red Ford Mondeo, the second vehicle involved in the collision.
