UPDATED: Police swooped on a car and its female occupants at Wightlink’s Fishbourne car ferry terminal this morning (Monday).
5 Police units – including two Roads Policing vehicles – arrived at the dockside in Fishbourne shortly before 07:30 where they contained a silver V-reg Renault Megane and two female occupants, who were arrested by officers.
According to sources, Wightlink were asked to delay the unloading of the vehicle to allow Police to get into position.
The vehicle has been recovered by Bartletts Service Station and Police have since left the scene.
UPDATE @ 10:30 – It has been confirmed that two females, a 21-year-old and a 25-year-old were arrested this morning on suspicion of taking the vehicle without consent (TWOC). Both remain in Police custody.
