Freshwater Bay Golf Club’s annual Captain’s Drive-In was held in favourable conditions earlier this month, setting a positive tone for the year ahead.
Members gathered at Freshwater Bay Golf Club to witness 3 excellent opening drives onto the first green, helped by kind weather that made for an enjoyable occasion both on and off the course.
Earlier in the day, a 10-hole competition was staged, with new Seniors Captain Mark Andrews emerging victorious with an impressive 24 points. Nearest the pin on the 14th hole was claimed by Mark Dyer.
Speaking afterwards, the new Club Captain thanked everyone who attended and supported the event. He was delighted to announce that a total of £360 had been raised towards his fundraising efforts, rounding off a successful and sociable day at the club.
