Firefighters from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service have responded to a potential flat fire in Cowes this afternoon (Monday).
2 pumping appliances and an aerial appliance from Newport were mobilised to the incident at Osborne Court, The Parade at just before 16:30, but were quickly stood down when it was discovered the occupant of the flat had simply burnt their Monday evening dinner.
Firefighters ventilated the property.
All appliances and an officer have now left the incident and returned to station.
