This year’s Isle of Wight Festival has officially sold out, organisers have announced.
With just a week to go until the much-anticipated event gets underway, it has been revealed that all weekend tickets have been scooped up by excited revellers looking to kick-start the festival season at Seaclose Park.
A few day tickets remain for Friday only, but these are expected to be snapped up in the coming days leading to an at-capacity event.
Festival Director Caroline Giddings has said:
“The Isle of Wight Festival has gone from strength to strength each year since 2003, & next weekend’s event is shaping up to be one for the memory books. Bring it on!”
Returning to the Isle of Wight for the first time in 12 years, Pulp will headline Friday night with George Ezra also returning to bring his infectious festival anthems on Saturday. The Chemical Brothers will close the main stage on Saturday.
In what is set to be a UK exclusive, Robbie Williams will bring this year’s Isle of Wight Festival to a close with a 90-minute set on Sunday night. It won’t be Robbie’s first visit to the Isle of Wight though, as reported by Island Echo earlier this week.
The stellar lineup this year is complemented by the likes of Blondie, Niall Horan, Sugababes, N-Dubz, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Anne-Marie, Sam Ryder, FLO, James Bay and many, many more.

The Isle of Wight festival sold out a long, long time ago. Just a load of 80s and 90s dross these days.
There’s probably not much in it between this one and the Jack Up festival. One has Robbie Williams and other has a tribute Robbie Williams. I’d side with Jack Up cos it has Black Lace.
The Robbie Williams tribute is better than the real thing these days. High camp either way. If only Robbie would sing Agadoo for an encore and maybe get Russ Abbott on stage too.

Probably because they are featuring new acts this year. According to the banner on Ryde pier head, they have George the Chemical and the Ezra brothers. Exciting!

I’m glad to see we’re giving John Giddings the opportunity to make a handsome profit and at the same time, inconvenience so many islanders. It’s good to see profit is more important than people.
The giddings national anthem, “Kerching” will be played throughout the festival and southern vectis management will be on bonuses resulting from the the blatant extortionate fares on their red busses.
