Retained firefighters used 2 buckets of water to extinguish a small fire in the open on East Cowes Esplanade yesterday evening (Tuesday).
1 appliance from East Cowes was mobilised to the Esplanade, close to the children’s playground, at 19:10.
It didn’t take long for the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service crew to find the smouldering grass and surrounding shrubbery and extinguish the fire.
Firefighters spent just 20 minutes on scene.
