Phil Brennan and Bowy White have been crowned May Cup winners at Westridge Golf Club after scoring 50 points in calm conditions.
The competition, held on Sunday 3rd May, saw last year’s runners-up go one better as they claimed the title by 4 points.
There was some late drama after technical issues and corrections meant the final result was not confirmed until around an hour after the initial scores had been announced.
Brennan and White eventually came out on top with 50 points, ahead of Nikki Glasgow and Ollie Kearney, who took 2nd place on countback with 46 points.
Louise Webb and Lorraine Swallow also finished on 46 points, but had to settle for 3rd after losing out on the better back 9.
Glen Winnard’s remarkable run continued with his 3rd hole-in-one in a month, although it was not quite enough to help him and partner Helen Whittaker onto the podium, with the pair finishing 4th.
