Brave Island has announced the launch of a brand new free creative Zine for 2026, aimed at giving young people on the Isle of Wight a platform to showcase their artistic talent.
The quarterly publication is open to all Islanders aged 14 to 25 and invites submissions across a wide range of mediums, including artwork, photography, poetry, articles and interviews. The Zine will be printed in full colour on A5 pages, with content shaped entirely by those who submit.
The theme for the first edition is Now or Never, a concept open to interpretation. Creators are encouraged to explore ideas around new beginnings, bold decisions, or urgent calls to action as they head into the new year.
A launch event will be held at Brave Island’s HQ at Ventnor Exchange on Friday 31st January to celebrate the release of the first edition. Further details about the event will be announced in the coming weeks.
Young creatives have until Thursday 4th January to submit their work. Entries can be submitted via the form available on the Brave Island website at www.braveisland.uk.
Brave Island is an initiative that supports young people on the Isle of Wight by offering opportunities to develop and share their creative skills through events, projects and commissions.
