UPDATED: A brand new car has narrowly avoided colliding with a house in Brading this evening (Wednesday).
A 16-plate black BMW 1-Series has been involved in a collision with a silver Suzuki 4×4 on New Road near the junction with Station Road. The BMW has come to rest inches away from a property.
Police – who are on scene directing traffic – were called to the incident at around 17:05.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area for the time being with lengthy delays in both directions. Southern Vectis buses are likely to run with a slight delay as a result.
No one has been injured.
Recovery of the vehicles has been arranged. The road is likely to be blocked whilst the two cars are cleared from the carriageway.
UPDATE @ 18:15 – The scene has now been cleared and traffic is returning to normal in the area.
