BLACKGANG CHINE TO REOPEN FOR 183RD SEASON THIS MARCH WITH SPECIAL OFFER

Blackgang Chine has announced that tickets for the 2026 season are now on sale, as the iconic clifftop park prepares to reopen for its 183rd year.

The family favourite attraction has confirmed this afternoon (friday) that it will reopen for the season on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd March, welcoming visitors back to the Land of Imagination with a special Opening Weekend celebration, including an exclusive ticket offer.

To mark the start of the season, Blackgang Chine is offering a special Blue Light Card discount on Opening Weekend, allowing Blue Light Card holders and their families to visit for just £5 per ticket, for up to 4 guests.

Park Manager Dan White has said:

“Reopening for a new season is always a special moment for us, but 2026 feels particularly exciting as we celebrate 183 years of Blackgang Chine, welcome a new ride, and see the return of fan favourite events. We’re incredibly proud of our history, but we’re equally focused on continuing to invest in the park and creating magical experiences for families on the Isle of Wight and beyond.”

As well as enjoying the park at the best value prices of the year, visitors attending on Opening Weekend will also have the opportunity to upgrade their day ticket to a Season Pass at a discounted rate, paying only the difference on the day.

Dan White added:

“Opening Weekend is the perfect time to visit. It’s great value, there’s a brilliant atmosphere, and if families decide they love it, which most do, upgrading to a Season Pass couldn’t be easier.”

Looking ahead to the season, Blackgang Chine has also confirmed the anticipated opening of its newly refurbished and rethemed train ride, formerly known as the Cows Express at Robin Hill. The attraction has undergone a full transformation over the Winter and is set to launch early in the season, following the success of Jolly Robin, which proved a huge hit with visitors in 2025.

Alongside the new attraction, families can also look forward to the return of Blackgang Chine’s popular seasonal events, including their famous foam party and firework combo, Summer Fest.

Season Pass holders will enjoy unlimited visits throughout the season, access to all events, all rides included, and exclusive in-park discounts on food, drink and retail.
