A Binstead man with a lengthy history of stalking and harassment has been convicted once again after sending a menacing message which conveyed a threat of serious harm involving a chainsaw.
Steven Tuckey, 45, of Hillrise Avenue in Binstead, admitted sending a telephone message which was grossly offensive, indecent, obscene or menacing.
The offence was committed on 18th March 2024 and involved a message sent via a public electronic communications network, in breach of Section 127 of the Communications Act 2003. The court heard that the communication conveyed a threat of serious violence, namely an attack with a chainsaw.
Appearing before the Isle of Wight Crown Court for sentencing last week, Tuckey was handed a community order – avoiding a prison sentence. He must complete up to 20 days of rehabilitation activity.
The court also imposed a £100 fine and ordered Tuckey to pay £100 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
A restraining order was made on conviction, banning Tuckey from contacting his victim or any member of his family, either directly or indirectly, until January 2029.
Island Echo has previously reported on Tuckey being handed a 10-year order after stalking a Babestation model and a local detective, as well as receiving a suspended sentence for stalking a police detective in a separate case.

What a disgusting creep let’s hope he doesn’t act on his threats? He should be in prison
The artical seems to be missing context. No mention of why he threatens someone with a chainsaw. Very odd story.
Looks like the mole of toad hall fell out of the ugly tree and smacked into every branch on the way down!
He’s obviously a nutcase you just have to look at him, why do the court take chances like this just lock him up !
I cannot make out if he is impersonating
Charlie Chaplin, Steed or Odd Job with the bowler
on, or he thinks he’s a banker!
Needs banging up.
I think you mis-spelled Banker?
Lock him up, who does he know high up then ??
Threaten one of mine il save the courts a foutune islands a weird place
So each convicted threat to each individual carries its own sentence. He then moves on to someone else. Separately, no case is an imprisonable offence. Don’t you think it’s about time that a collective order was looked at, and a term in a psychiatric unit imposed? In effect it’s a sinister version of OCD.
Ye he looks special not right in the head.
as well as receiving a suspended sentence for stalking a police detective in a separate case
Forgive me if I am wrong but isn’t the point of a suspended sentence to be a deterrent and if another offence is committed the suspended sentence is then to be served.
So why is this charming fellow allowed to walk and stalk, allegedly, freely like he is innocent?
Another strong argument for reopening the nut houses.
Smug little Twunt.
