A informative talk about the financial and energy crisis, peak oil and climate change will be given by international speaker Nicole Foss, writer for the automaticearth.org at the Riverside Centre, Newport on Wednesday evening.
The event, organised by Alison Logan, will see Nicole Foss give an enthusiastic and interesting talk and will share her knowledge and professional analyses with local residents. She will offer an impartial and truthful assessment of how things are changing on the larger scale, and how that filters down to every one of us within our extended community.
Ms Foss’ academic qualifications include a BSc in biology from Carleton University in Canada (where she focused primarily on neuroscience and psychology), a post-graduate diploma in air and water pollution control, the common professional examination in law and an LLM in international law in development from the University of Warwick in the UK. She was granted the University Medal for the top science graduate in 1988 and the law school prize for the top law school graduate in 1997. She is also co-editor of The Automatic Earth.
There will be the opportunity to liaise with Ms Foss for representatives of the business community and council members should they wish to take advantage of her advice.
The event takes place on Wednesday 4th July (6pm for a 7pm start) at the Riverside Centre in Newport Quay.
