The long-awaited reveal of the first headliner came this morning (Tuesday) when organisers Solo made the announcement to thousands of eager festival fans – an announcement that hasn’t disappointed with the Isle of Wight Festival entering its 13th year.
Biffy Clyro will perform on the Friday night of the four-day festival, which is to be held between 12th-15th June next year, and will join the likes of Rudimental, Passenger, The 1975 and folk-rock legends The Waterboys.
Festival promoter, John Giddings, said:
“Friday night is going to kick it out of the park with Biffy and Calvin and special guests Rudimental – I can’t wait. Having Passenger and The 1975 already on board we’re set for one of our most contemporary years, with the class of The Waterboys complementing the young guns nicely.”
Pre-sale tickets are available via Absolute Radio from midday today (Tuesday) until 08:00 Thursday (12th December). Early Bird tickets will go on sale from Thursday until 16th January 2014.
