A pedestrian escaped with minor injuries after being hit by a car in Bembridge on Tuesday. Police and paramedics were called to Egerton Road – near the junction with Crossways – at 22:25 to reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. Officers responded to the scene and discovered the windscreen and wing mirror of a silver Vauxhall Tigra had damage from the impact. Thankfully according to Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary, the pedestrian sustained only minor injuries and was treated by the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
