BEAU RAISES ALMOST £1,000 FOR THE LOCAL FOODBANK WITH 100-MILE CYCLE CHALLENGE

12-year-old Beau Bowden has raised almost £1,000 for the Isle of Wight Foodbank by completing a 100-mile cycle ride over the October half-term.

Beau was inspired by a program on TV about those unable to afford to buy food in these difficult times, so decided to set up a fundraising challenge.

During the 2-week half-term, the local youngster spent 7 days of his holiday cycling around the Island to complete 100 miles on the saddle.

The original target was to raise £500, but that has already been smashed with £946 in the pot.
