Storeroom2010 has received a ‘Highly Commended’ recognition in the Community Group Award category at the BBC Radio Solent Make a Difference Awards 2025.
The awards ceremony took place on 9th September at Fratton Park, Portsmouth, with more than 400 nominations submitted from across Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight.
Storeroom2010’s recognition reflects the organisation’s ongoing commitment to supporting the local community through its services and outreach.
Kerri Austin, General Manager at Storeroom2010, said:
“We are absolutely delighted to have received this recognition.
“Being nominated was an honour in itself, but to be acknowledged by the judges—with so many other wonderful causes also making a difference in their communities—means a great deal to everyone involved in our work.”
The Make a Difference Awards, hosted by BBC Local Radio stations across the UK, celebrate unsung heroes who go above and beyond for their communities. The Community Group Award recognises local organisations that bring people together and create positive change.
Storeroom2010 has extended thanks to its volunteers, supporters and the wider community for their continued encouragement and contributions.
