Newport Ladies have retained the Isle of Wight Ladies League title with an unbeaten season, sealed by victory over South Wight rivals Ventnor.
Lara Crouch and Lucy Scholes set the tone with the new ball, striking early and often before Els and Sandy Dye kept things tight to dismiss Ventnor for just 54.
In reply, openers Lara and Els provided a steady start. After a wicket for Ventnor’s Jess Glover, Claire joined Georgia Dye to complete the chase inside 10 overs and wrap up consecutive titles.
