Despite losing the Hampshire Cup final 3-0 to Sholing Youth, Newport Under 13s have had a very successful season which concluded last week with an awards ceremony.
The team came together for it’s annual awards night at The Bargeman’s Rest, where players were recognised for their individual efforts and trophies were on display representing the side’s overall success in the 2015-2016 season.
The trophies clinched by the Under 13s side include the League Championship Trophy, the League Cup Trophy, the ESF Butlins Tournament Fair Play Award and Newport FC Secretary’s Award for Outstanding Achievements.
Players awarded on the night were:
Top goalscorer: Jaik Holton (40 Goals)
Most improved: Harry Cheek
Clubman: Jack Turner
Supporters Award: Jacob Jarvis
Players Award: Ryan Hughes
Managers Award: Ben Timbrell
Manager Stuart Simmonds thanked the parents, assistant Marc Sheerin and coach Graham Snow for there help during the season.
Stuart also said had the team lifted the Hampshire cup, then he would of gave all the players the Manager’s Award .
