‘AUDI’ MANAGE THAT? CAR ROLLS ONTO ROOF NEAR NEWCHURCH

A car on its roof has led to the closure of the main road between Winford and Newchurch this afternoon (Tuesday). A blue Audi A4 has come to rest upside down on Winford Road, between the junctions of Watery Lane and Harbours Lake Lane. Emergency services are in attendance and are thought to have come across the incident whilst responding to another emergency in nearby Alverstone. No notable injuries are thought to have been sustained and no offences have been identified. Winford Road is currently closed in both directions. Motorists are advised to avoid the area for the time being, but access is possible through Newchurch via Harbours Lake Lane. Alverstone Road at Queen Bower is also closed  due to roadworks
