The main road from Sandown to Newport through Arreton is to re-open throughout this evening (Wednesday) and will be fully re-open by tomorrow morning, Island Roads have confirmed.
The road has been closed to motorists in both directions since April to allow for the rebuilding and resurfacing of the main A3056 between Arreton Cross and The Fighting Cocks.
As the Isle of Wight Festival gets underway, Island Roads have confirmed the road will be open as normal in time for Thursday morning’s commute.
