FOUND: Police are appealing for information as to the whereabouts of a Ventnor man who has gone missing.
Paul Smith, 58 was last seen in the Parkhurst area of Newport on Saturday (22nd March) however has not been seen since, sparking concerns for his welfare.
Mr Smith is described as white, of stocky build with ginger hair and freckles. He is believed to be wearing a beige top, blue jeans and boots.
It is thought that Paul may have travelled out of Hampshire, possibly towards the South West areas of Dorset, Devon or Cornwall.
UPDATE SUNDAY AM: Mr Smith remains missing, over a week since he was last seen.
WightSAR have been deployed this morning to assist Police in the search and are currently searching the Parkhurst Forest area. Colleagues from HantsSAR have been brought over to the Island by Police launch to assist, whilst a specialist sniffer dog was also deployed to the Island.
UPDATE SUNDAY PM: Mr Smith has been found safe and well on the mainland this afternoon, according to Hampshire Constabulary.
