ANNUAL HOSPICE DAY AT SHANKLIN & SANDOWN GOLF CLUB RAISES OVER £850

Last Tuesday (29th May) the ladies of Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club took to the fairways for their annual Hospice Day.

As is customary, men were invited to join the teams and, given fair weather, battle was joined in a Texas Scramble from a shot-gun start.

The winning team, with a net score of 49.7, comprised of Amanda Wade, Joy Jenkins, Steve Clifton and Terry Harris.

Runners-up with a net 50.6 were Bev Carroll, Sue Smith, Neil Hallett and Robert Gray.

Third place honours went to Jo Wright, Linda Piche, June Westmore and Brian Porter with a net 50.8.

As usual, the bring and buy table was well laden with plants, cakes and produce whilst the raffle table offered a very tempting array of prizes.

The day raised £862 for Mountbatten Hospice.
