Islanders are being invited along to Age UK Isle of Wight’s family fun day at Porchfield Cricket Club on Saturday (25th September), which will include the annual Powder Run.
Participants will run through the colours of the rainbow whilst making their way around a 2km backyard obstacle course, with the first wave setting off at 14:00.
Every pre-registered participant gets a free rainbow pack and medal of completion. Entry to The Powder Run is £10 for adults, £5 for children (14 or under) with every penny raised staying on the Island to help Age UK Isle of Wight to support older Island residents.
Running alongside The Powder Run will be a family fun day. Local obedience group ‘Barking Mad’ will be hosting a dog agility display and will host a fun dog show with categories including ‘Handsomest Mutt’, ‘Best bad hair day’, ‘Dog who looks most like its owner’ and a crowd favourite ‘Waggiest tail’.
There will also be vintage funfair amusements, activity stalls, a bar, BBQ, ice cream and cakes from Calbourne Classics.
