It was a true family affair at the Isle of Wight Community Club in Cowes last weekend (Saturday 25th July), when 4 members of the Redpath family lined up together on one rink as Plessey D recorded another impressive Isle of Wight Division 3 victory.
12-year-old Daniel Redpath, 15-year-old James Redpath and their parents, Scott and Deon Redpath, teamed up against Ventnor C in what is believed to be a rare sight in competitive lawn bowls.
The family quartet produced a dominant display, winning their rink 26-9 to help Plessey D continue their excellent season, following a comprehensive 10-0 victory.
Having an entire rink made up of one family is an unusual occurrence in league bowls, making the evening a memorable one for both the Redpaths and their fellow Plessey D teammates.
Plessey D, who play their home fixtures at the Isle of Wight Community Club in Cowes, will now look to build on their strong form away at Ryde Marina C on Saturday (1st August).
