The Environment Agency has issued yet another flood alert for the Isle of Wight coast, although the flooding is not expected to be as significant as experienced yesterday lunchtime.
At around 13:00 today (Friday) minor flooding to seafront roads and car parks is expected in areas such as Yarmouth, Cowes and East Cowes. Water levels will also be high up slipways.
The Flood Alert has been reissued as surge values increased overnight, however, the alert is set to be removed later this afternoon by 16:00.
Predicted astronomical tide level: 1.90 mAOD
Forecast surge height: 0.33m
Forecast high water level at Cowes: 2.23 mAOD or 4.82 mCD
