The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has landed on the outskirts of Newport in response to a medical emergency at a rural property this morning (Wednesday).
It was just before 10:00 that the air ambulance was scrambled from Thruxton to assist colleagues from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
The yellow and green helicopter touched down in a field off Staplers Road at 10:25, with flying medics now tending to an individual located in a nearby detached home.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service has 2 ambulance crews on scene.
UPDATE @ 11:17 – The air ambulance has now lifted, returning to Thruxton without conveying any patient.
