Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance landed in Wootton to perform an emergency medivac this afternoon (Friday).
The life-saving helicopter landed at Wootton Recreation Ground at just before 15:45 following a request from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service. It wasn’t on the ground for long though, taking off towards a mainland hospital by 16:10.
It’s thought the air ambulance was called into action for a patient suffering from cardiac issues.
