Flying medics from the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance have touched down in central Newport this lunchtime (Tuesday) in response to a cardiac arrest on Pan Estate.
The yellow helicopter has touched down in the playing fields of Medina House following a request for assistance from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
Local Paramedics – including a critical care paramedic – are already with the male patient at a residential address on Green Street.
Doctors from the air ambulance are now on scene too and are working alongside their colleagues to assist the individual.
Medina House is not involved in the incident itself.
UPDATE @ 13:02 – The air ambulance has lifted off from Pan, but has not conveyed the patient.
