The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has landed in the village of Alverstone this morning (Sunday) in response to a medical emergency.
The yellow and green helicopter touched down in the rural location on the outskirts of Sandown at around 10:15 following a call for assistance from the local Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
HEMS doctors and paramedics are currently on scene at a residential address alongside 2 local ambulance crews.
It’s understood the crews have been called to a male in cardiac arrest.
UPDATE @ 11:20 – The patient has been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital by land, accompanied by the air ambulance doctors.
All resources have now stood down from the incident.
