Castlehold Baptist Church in Newport has been supported by various businesses in recognising acts of kindness over the past year, which has resulted in enough generous donations and funding to create 17 gift hampers this Christmas.
The hampers have been distributed to several community organisations across the Island, who have touched the lives of Castlehold attenders through showing exceptional kindness at difficult times through the pandemic.
Hamper organiser Katie Charlton explains more:
“Many of our Church fellowship wanted to find a way to give something back for the exceptional support and care received over the past year or so. We were overwhelmed by the generosity of businesses we approached to help with the hamper idea.”
This year organisations and departments including Mountbatten, ICU at St Mary’s Hospital, children’s community respite team, various care homes and Beaulieu House have received the seasonal hampers.
