8-YEAR-OLD CHLOE ON A FESTIVE MISSION TO THANK STAFF AT ST MARY’S

8-year-old Chloe Barnicoat is set to deliver tubs of chocolate with handwritten ‘thank you’ letters to the staff at St Mary’s Hospital this Christmas.

Chloe, who attends Nettlestone Primary School, has decided that she would like to thank the NHS staff for the amazing work they do – day in, day out.

The youngster has been asking friends, family and neighbours to donate chocolates to hand out to each department and ward at the hospital on Saturday 21st December. It is hoped that every single department can receive chocolates.

Each donation will be accompanied by a handwritten ‘thank you’ letter from Chloe. To date, she has collected more than 20 tubs!

The letter reads:

Dear St Mary’s Hospital,

Thank you for saving people’s lives. You do such an amazing job and you must miss your family at Christmas.

I wanted to say thank you for everything that you do by giving you chocolates. My friends and family all donated chocolates so I could give them to you.

Thanks for all that you have done, carry on the good work.

Yours faithfully,
Chloe Barnicoat

Over the past few years, Chloe’s grandad, dad and step-dad have all been cared for by the team at St Mary’s, which is part of the reason behind the festive donation drive.

A number of local businesses have donated festive treats including EE, Carpets etc and Crave.
