A number of Islanders will be ordained as deacons and priests in a special ceremony at Portsmouth Cathedral later this month.
Bishop of Portsmouth, the Rt Rev Jonathan Frost, will ordain a total of 28 individuals on 28th June.
Nathan Hamilton will become a deacon representing Ryde; Binstead; Havenstreet; St John the Baptist, Oakfield, Ryde, and Holy Trinity, Ryde.
Abbie Lynch will be ordained as a deacon for Newport Minster, Saint John and Carisbrooke; and Gatcombe.
Chris Nicol for All Saints Gurnard with Cowes St Faith; Northwood; Cowes Holy Trinity and St Mary, and Jane Shyvers for the West Wight, will also become a deacon.
Later in the day, The Rev Charlotte Hudd (West Wight), The Rev Jo Nicholson (Ventnor and Bonchurch) and The Rev Emma Taylor (All Saints Gurnard with Cowes St Faith; Northwood; Cowes Holy Trinity and St Mary) will all be ordained as priests.
