Shanklin and Sandown Golf Club was the venue for this year’s Captain’s Day with 68 players taking part in a 12-hole Texas Scramble competition in teams of 4.
Stephanie Hart (IWLGA Captain) hosted the event which included an afternoon tea for all the players.
The winners of the day were Ronnie Hirst and Sarah Nye (Shanklin & Sandown), Ann Geary (Osborne) and Carol Pointer (Ryde) with a terrific score of 28.
In second spot with 30 points were Lorrie Hawkins and Sally Kavanagh (Shanklin & Sandown), Lesley Catchpole (Osborne) and Ann Smith (Freshwater Bay) and close behind and securing third prize were Jo Tucker (Newport), Fran Doyle (Ryde), Bev Carroll (Shanklin & Sandown) and Lorraine Swallow (Westridge).
