A man wanted in connection with a rape investigation, who goaded Police by commenting on their Facebook page, has been arrested.
Hampshire Constabulary has confirmed that a 40-year-old man has been detained on suspicion of rape and harassment. It comes as part of an investigation into an alleged rape in Ryde on 1st June this year.
Police appealed for the public’s help in locating an individual earlier this week.
The 40-year-old remains in custody at this time as detectives quiz the suspect over the allegations made against him.
