Races 3 and 4 of Brading Haven’s Icebreakers series were completed on a grey, chilly day with light, variable winds of 3-9 knots last Sunday (23rd January).
With the wind coming from the East/North East it allowed for some windward legs to the entrance of the harbour, and the inclusion of some ‘dog legs’ up and down either side of Fisherman’s Pontoon.
Sailors from Yarmouth Sailing Club, Royal Victoria Yacht Club and Gurnard Sailing Club joined the action, which saw 3 fleets racing over most of the Harbour. The Illusion fleet having elected to race just outside the Harbour.
A total of 33 boats raced 2 races over the same course with the fast fleet doing an extra round to the Slow and Scows each time with the following results…
