Coastguards from Bembridge and Ventnor were called into action yesterday (Tuesday) when 2 youths became stuck between the rocks at Priory Bay, near Seaview.
Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team was first on the scene having been tasked at 13:12.
It was soon established that the teens did not require rescuing, nor did they require any medical assistance. The duo had managed to free themselves from their predicament and were assisted back to safety.
Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team were stood down en-route.
The teenager’s parents were called to Seagrove Bay to collect their children following their minor ordeal.
A spokesperson for Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team has said:
“They did exactly the right thing by calling 999 and asking for the Coastguard”.
