UPDATED: Police and paramedics are attending a 2-car road traffic collision in Cowes this afternoon (Sunday).
2 ambulances and a rapid response paramedic have been mobilised to the scene on Newport Road at the junction with Mill Hill Road.
No one is thought to be trapped in either vehicle.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area, with a road closure anticipated.
UPDATE @ 12:46 – The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are assessing a number of patients, however the second ambulance sent to the incident has been stood down.
Police have closed the road in both directions whilst recovery is arranged.
UPDATE @ 13:38 – The incident has now been cleared and the road has reopened.
A total of 4 people have been treated at the scene for minor injuries. Thankfully, no one has been conveyed to hospital.
