Generous locals have helped steer Friends of the Animals towards more vital support after Wight Wheels’ Classic Car and Bike Show raised £1,000.
Supporters turned out to admire classic cars and bikes, shine up their own vehicles and donate generously to the cause. The funds raised will go directly towards helping animals in need across the Isle of Wight.
Special praise has gone to Helen and Emma Muffett, who went the extra mile to raise an additional £425 through their efforts.
In more good news for the charity, a brand-new and much larger charity shop – their biggest yet – will be opening at 10:00 on tomorrow. Saturday 12th July. Shoppers can find it at Brannon House on 123 Pyle Street.
Friends of the Animals are inviting everyone to pop in, hunt for a bargain and continue supporting local animals in need.

Well done, my favourite island charity.
