The fifth annual Zoe’s Law Ball has raised an incredible £9,166.20 for Mountbatten Hospice, marking the fifth anniversary of Zoe Panayi’s passing and continuing the charity’s mission to raise awareness of melanoma and change the law in memory of Zoe.
Held at the Royal Solent in Yarmouth, the ball brought together over 165 people from across the Island for an evening of remembrance, celebration and fundraising. Guests enjoyed live entertainment from Fusion Party Band and sax players, dinner and auctions, with £9166.20 raised for Mountbatten Hospice.
The event was organised by Charlie Panayi, Zoe’s brother, whose efforts have seen Zoe’s Law grow from a local initiative into a powerful voice for melanoma awareness.
Charlie said:
“This year’s ball was particularly special. It wasn’t just about raising money, it was about remembering Zoe, celebrating her life, raising awareness of melanoma and supporting Mountbatten. We’re overwhelmed by the generosity shown and I thank everyone who helped from the bottom of my heart.”
Zoe’s Law would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Red Squirrel Property Shop and SJM Planning for their continued support, as well as to everyone who attended, donated or sponsored the event.

Zoe’s Law has already made a real impact internationally, and now it’s taking its message to Westminster.
On 15th October 2025, Charlie Panayi will attend Prime Minister’s Questions at the House of Commons with local councillor Richard Quigley, to highlight Zoe’s story and the importance of melanoma awareness on a national stage.
Charlie said:
“Zoe’s Law started with the aim to change things the law and save lives. Being at Prime Minister’s Questions gives us an opportunity to keep Zoe’s story in front of decision-makers.”
Mountbatten Hospice provides specialist end-of-life care to people across the Isle of Wight and Hampshire. Funds raised from the Zoe’s Law Ball will help the charity continue its vital work.
