Cowes Sports have completed the signing of forward Harrison Taylor, securing his arrival from local Wessex League rivals Newport.
The Yachtsmen add a powerful attacking option to their squad, with Taylor known for his “absolute traction engine of a left foot” as Cowes prepare for a demanding stretch of fixtures in the run up to Christmas and the New Year.
Taylor brings strong Island football pedigree, having previously featured in the Wessex League for East Cowes Vics as well as Newport, and in the Island League for Oakfield, Binstead and Whitecroft & Barton Sports (W&B). This season he made 12 appearances for the Port, scoring 3 goals.
Cowes joint-managers Ian Potts and Mark Woodhouse said:
“Harry is a player of great technique and has an eye for goal. He will provide competition for places at the top end of the pitch and we are excited to add a player of Wessex League experience to the squad. I know he is keen to get going and get in amongst the squad ready for a busy schedule coming up.”
Taylor is expected to be available as the Yachtsmen host Wincanton Town at the Zilch Waste Stadium on Saturday 6th December.
