As the sun set across Seaclose Park this evening (Friday), Biffy Clyro brought the crowds alive when they once again took to the Main Stage performing some of their sensational top hits.
Following a hot and enjoyable afternoon, the Scottish legends continued the party into the night putting on a show to remember with plenty of strobes, fire and screaming fans. Thousands of pieces of gold confetti were released across the crowds, opening the group’s set.
Ferry operator Wightlink transported the band across the Solent at 16:00 this afternoon and were photographed by Wightlink’s Chris Cowley on the deck overlooking Portsmouth Gunwharf terminal – photographed are Richard Ingram (keyboards) and Mike Vennart (guitar) of the Biffy Clyro live band and Neil Anderson (tourmanager).
Starsailor and Rudimental have also taken to the stage this afternoon, with Calvin Harris taking centre stage shortly before 23:00. Katy B continues the Festival into Saturday morning performing in the Big Top until 01:00.
Motorists are reminded that Fairlee Road will close (in both directions) following Calvin Harris’ performance tonight in the interests of public safety due to the high number of Festival-goers leaving the site.
