Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman assaulted a man in the middle of Newport’s town centre last week.
Around 10:30 on Thursday (4th December), a 42-year-old man was outside Costa Coffee in St James Square when a woman approached him and pushed him to the floor.
The woman then proceeded to punch the man multiple times, before taking his phone and walking in the direction of High Street.
The victim suffered minor injuries.
The woman is described as white, with short mousey brown hair, aged in her 20’s, approximately 5ft 5 and of a plump build. At the time of the incident, she was wearing a light brown and cream stripped knitted jumper, blue jeans and white trainers, holding a red carrier bag and cream handbag.

So, did the victim know her or not? We’re they aquainted? Father/daughter? Family members?
More quality filth on the island.
plump build.. ha ha – polite way of saying the obvious
But, as you know, stating the obvious can get you a longer prison sentence than the ‘plump one’ will get for assault and theft.
But, were any offences committed?
My point was simple enough for someone aware of our broken injustice system to understand. Shame some folk choose not to. End of.
Here, here, Davimel, and I do mean ‘here’ as in here on the Island as well as the rest of the UK. Another world from the one I grew up in thec1050s.
Only here ,lovely here isn’t it ?
Lad should have done some Wrestling, double leg takedown would have stopped her
