Police on the Isle of Wight are appealing for witnesses after a car failed to stop after hitting a teenage girl in Sandown at the weekend, leaving her with facial injuries.
At a point between 19:20 and 19:35 on Sunday (7th December), a car of unknown description was involved in a collision with a 14-year-old girl on the Broadway, near to The Heights Leisure Centre.
The girl sustained cuts to her head and chin, and the car did not remain at the scene after the collision.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary is keen to hear from anyone who may have seen any or all of this event, or has knowledge of the incident and who is involved.
